Cinema expandido
Foi um privilégio estar na Universidade de Oxford ao lado de mulheres incríveis para apresentar a palestra/ performance com cinema expandido “The Three Marias: This was no country for young women” no congresso internacional 25 April 1974: Unfinished Revolutions in Portuguese Literary and Visual Cultures.
Agradeço às organizadoras, Hilary Owen, Cláudia Pazos Alonso e Maria Luísa Coelho o espaço de liberdade que me foi concedido para activar esta performance no WADHAM COLLEGE/ UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD.
“The conference will evaluate the cultural and political legacies of the Carnation Revolution which brought an end to Europe’s longest dictatorship, ushering in a return to democratic government, and belated independence for Portugal’s African colonies. This event will take an intersectional approach to race and gender inequalities, and explore how these continue to play out to the present day in Portuguese literature and film. There will be UK premieres (with English subtitles) of the films Mulheres do meu País (dir Raquel Freire) and O Que Podem as Palavras? (dir Luísa Sequeira and Luísa Marinho).” in WADHAM
