There and Then, Here and Now” – Marking the 50th anniversary of Portugal’s 1974 ‘Revolution of the Carnations’, this round-table colloquium re-examines the histories and memories of democratic transitions in 1970s-1980s Europe and South America, their cultural legacy, and the politics of their commemoration. Hosted by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures and Centre for Memory Studies and Post-Conflict Cultures.”
