“Memory, Female Noun” rescues my family’ s super 8 movies, with new Super 8 footage from a movie I was doing about Barbara Virginia, one of the pioneers of Portuguese cinema and one of the first women to be present in the 1st edition of Cannes Film Festival in 1946 with a feature film.
“La Luna” by Luísa Sequeira will be screening at the 1st BCK Film Symposium held in Athens, Greece, from 02.11.2018 till 11.11.2018.
The Symposium features film screenings, panels, workshops, presentations and round table discussions on technical and creative processes by filmmakers and organisations from Greece, Germany and Turkey. The Symposium is open to the public and it aims to create a support network for independent filmmaking across the world.

O filme “Quem é Bárbara Virgínia?” venceu o prémio para melhor documentário português na primeira edição do festival de cinema Porto Femme.

“Exibir e divulgar o trabalho das mulheres” no cinema é o objetivo do Porto Femme, cuja primeira edição vai decorrer de 30 de maio a 3 de junho.
Promovido pela XX Element Project – Associação Cultural, o Porto Femme “pretende exibir e divulgar o trabalho das mulheres” no mundo do cinema, “promovendo a igualdade e o empoderamento destas no universo cinematográfico”.
O evento pretende ser um “lugar de exibição e divulgação de múltiplos e diversos universos que colocam a mulher no centro”.
Quem é Bárbara Virgínia? foi o filme de abertura do Festival Porto Femme na biblioteca Almeida Garrett no Porto.
Realização de um Workshop de cinema mobile no Madeira Film Fest.
Descrição: Este workshop abordará o uso do telemóvel como ferramenta para o cinema mobile.

Em foco vão estar as práticas consequentes da democratização do cinema a partir dos dispositivos móveis, com a oportunidade de serem estudados alguns filmes feitos com telemóvel e os acessórios utilizados para a produção de filmes mobile.

The Madeira Film Festival is staged at the Municipal Theatre plus other satellite venues within Funchal. The Municipal Theatre ( Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias ) is indeed a most aesthetically pleasing venue, we consider ourselves very lucky to present the films here in the centre of Funchal, the theatre holds up to 300 persons.
